HUAWEI 5G brings new era of connectivity to Sri Lanka, offering peak performance and industry-leading download speeds

Huawei’s 5G device development is accelerating at speeds beyond imagination with plans of testing 5G boundaries of Sri Lanka with Huawei Mate 20X. Sri Lanka’s telecommunications giants, have already tested the capabilities 5G services within the nation and brought forth positive results. The initiative would garner insights to 5G and its advances in smartphone technology resulting in a more efficient and an unparallel technological experience for all of Sri Lanka. With Sri Lanka progressing and adapting and embracing a 5G society through two telecommunication giants, Huawei has decided to test the market with the all new Huawei Mate 20X 5G.

5G development is accelerating at speeds beyond imagination. Leading global operators are developing 5G commercial deployment faster than ever–the industry is already prepared for various fields including 5G standards smart products, terminals, security, and business. Huawei will work closely with its customers and partners to grasp 5G innovation opportunities and jointly usher in a new era of this growth technology.

Recently at The Mobile World Congress held at Barcelona, Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) showcased the HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro, the CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) that provides ultra-high speed broadband and intelligent Dual-Link features. First unveiled at an exclusive launch event, the CPE is designed to achieve stronger, “zero-distance” connectivity between people and connected machines. Powered by Balong 5000, this router serves as a breakthrough in 5G deployment and accessibility for consumer devices worldwide.

In delivering a superior experience, the HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro utilizes its proprietary Balong 5000—the world’s first 5G multimode modem chipset. The power of the chipset enables the router to be the first to support commercial application of 4G and 5G dual-modes. It is the first to have the capacity to perform to industry benchmarks of peak 5G download speeds. The dual-mode elements allow for the device to default to 4G, should the 5G coverage not be strong enough.

To ensure consumer demands are met in terms of network accessibility and connectivity, the HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro utilizes fiber-like up to 3.2Gbps speeds in commercial network to support ultra-high definition visual communications and immersive multimedia interactions. Additionally, the HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro’s utilizes dedicated video channel and game accelerator channel technology, meaning video performance—even for 8K media, or Computer Graphic VR game—is never compromised.

Huawei, as the leading player entering the 5G era, apparently attaches great importance to 5G development. Huawei started to develop its own 5G technology as early as in 2009. In 2017 to 2018, Huawei invested more than US$1.4 billion into 5G product development. By 2019 January leading the business, Huawei cooperated with more than 50 partners globally to signing 30 5G commercial contracts, also shipping 25,000 base stations. Huawei is the only equipment provider that can provide end-to-end 5G products and solutions, including 5G CPEs for commercial use 18 months ahead of other players.
