Blue Mountain hosts APEX Awards for Excellence and Talent Show to recognize staff and highlight their talents

The Blue Mountain Group recently conducted its APEX Awards for Excellence to recognize and appreciate sales staff throughout the group who have delivered an exceptional performance in the first quarter of 2015/2016. The glamorous event was held on a grand scale at the Bishop’s College Auditorium and the Chief Guest, Dr. Hiran Hettiarachchi (MBBS-Colombo, MBA-Australia), Group Chairman of Blue Mountain presented the APEX sales awards and trophies to all top performing employees. Also present at the event was the Guest of Honour Dr.(Mrs). Rayomi Hettiarachchi, the Executive Director of Blue Mountain, along with the group’s staff and senior management, as well as their family members. Dr. Hiran Hettiarachchi announced that the awards show would become an annual event, and will continue to motivate staff, uplift them and enhance their teamwork skills. Dimuthu Kannangara, Regional Sales Manager of Blue Mountain won the champion trophy in the Sales Head category. Manjula Abeysinghe and Chamaka Gamage from the Blue Mountain team, carried away champion trophies in the Team Leader and Unit Leader categories respectively.

The APEX Awards for Excellence ended with a talent show and employees from across the group, came together to showcase their skills at the event and performed a series of musical, theatrical and dance acts. The event not only acknowledged and recognized the hard work of employees, it also provided them with a platform to demonstrate their hidden talents. From its inception, Blue Mountain has always acknowledged the important role that its employees play in ensuring the group’s continued success.
