American Food Fest at Keells Super!
Keells Super together with the Officers of Foreign Agricultural Affairs (OAA) USA, has organised an in-store celebration of food and beverages, produced and manufactured in the United States of America. The food festival will commence from September 1st to September 16th, 2016, across all 57 Keells Super outlets in the country.
“We are delighted to host the ‘American Food Fest’ at Keells Super. It is a wonderful opportunity to enable food enthusiasts to experience the best of the USA. Brands and trade organizations from the United States get to showcase the best of their food and beverage industry,” stated Charitha Subasinghe, Chief Executive Officer, Keells Super. He further stated, “The objective of ‘American Food Fest’ is to showcase existing and introduce new US food products across all our outlets. This event will allow all foodies interested in becoming familiar with the range of US products we have in-store. All this would happen in a cheerful American festival atmosphere, In addition to all of this we have enabled a 10% discount on products made in the USA across all our outlets”
Robert Hilton, Deputy Chief of Mission, The US Embassy, speaking at the event, said, “The US is one of the major players in supplying high quality food and beverage products to Sri Lanka; we have seen a significant increase in the import of American brands in Sri Lanka. The strong GDP growth and the increasing per capita income are expected to drive food consumption further in Sri Lanka. We are very happy to partner with Keells Super, to engage with the end user of US foods and beverages at the ‘American Food Fest’.”
‘The American Food Fest’ will commence from September 1st to September 15th, 2016, cross all Keells Stores across the Island.
