As the world’s first commercial SoC manufactured with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturer Company’s (TSMC), Kirin 980 elevates the On-Device AI experience with greater processing power and intelligence. It makes the performance 22% better, and 32% less power consuming compared to many other chipsets in the market.
The Kirin 980 integrates 6.9 billion transistors in an area of less than 1 square centimeter which is a 1.6x fold increase in density to empower better performance. This chipset is the first Cortex-A76 based in the world and has a 75% improvement in single core performance. The Kirin 980 also includes the world’s first commercial use GPUMali-G76 MP10performance is improved by 46%. The LPDDR4X memory operates at speeds up to 2133 MHz The fourth-generation ISP utilizes a multi-pass noise reduction to capture quality images and preserve important details. This ISP also has a dedicated video pipeline to effectively improve video clarity and reduce shooting delays by 33%.
Kirin 980’s efficient performance will be driven by these faster switching transistors and the power efficiency will be driven by the lower resistance and therefore lower current requirement for switching the transistors. To add to the many benefits of a denser chip, due to the less power the chip generates, less heat will be generated from the device, so that the gamers can play for a longer period, without the device getting heated.
The new and improved GPU Turbo 2.0 software mused with Kirin 980 is well equipped to handle multitasking and relatively heavy usage too. The games are loaded quickly and all the stunts, takedowns, and shockwaves can be pulled off without the device stuttering for even a moment.

With the Hi1103, it supports a theoretical peak download speed of 1.7 Gbps and 160 MHz bandwidth, which is 1.7x the industry level. The GPS is supported by industry leading L1 + L5 dual frequency ultra-precise positioning to give you a more accurate target location when using map navigation, even in complex terrains.
The GPU Mali-G76 MP10dramatically increases the graphics processing efficiency of smartphones, thereby allowing devices to run graphically intensive games without significantly affecting battery life.
