Hot ‘n’ Spicy Stars shine through the Prima KottuMee Calendar 2021
The 2021 Prima KottuMee calendar portrays a series of pulsating, young personalities who represent the brand’s youthful ‘Hot N Spicy’ image. 12 contestants who showcased their talent and secured the votes of social media audiences were awarded a place in the Prima KottuMee Calendar, which has been a success with the youth of Sri Lanka owing to the lively personalities and vibrant concepts.
This year the entire process for the Prima KottuMee competition and shoot was adapted for online participation. In order to register, the participants had to fill a google form and attach a short thirty-second clip showcasing their dancing, singing or modelling talents. These clips were uploaded to social media sites for voting to take place and sent to the judges for their assessment.
The organizers, as with past years, received an overwhelming number of applications from across the island. The judges then selected 50 young stars to undergo 1 week of online voting on Facebook out of which the 12 highest voted top liners were chosen to be on the 2020 calendar. These 12 models inclusive of 6 male candidates and 6 female candidates underwent a shoot via zoom. Understanding and heeding the health and safety precautions, the entire process was conducted online via Facebook and Instagram platforms.
The panel of judges included returning judge Teena Shanel – model and actress, Dimitri Crusz – one of the most sought after photographers in Sri Lanka, Sachini Nipunsala – television presenter and dancer and Nipuni Wilson – model and actress. Their invaluable efforts in shortlisting the contestants was paramount to the selection of stars for the calendar.
As a brand that speaks to and for the youth, Prima KottuMee uses its calendar as a platform to create opportunities for these talented individuals as a stepping stone to pave the way for their own success. In addition to being featured in the Prima KottuMee 2021 calendar, these young stars will stand a chance to star in Prima KottuMee commercials in the future.
