CA Sri Lanka’s UAE Chapter donates urgent medical supplies to help fight COVID
The UAE Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) recently donated urgent medical supplies to help Sri Lanka’s fight against COVID.
The urgent medical supplies consisted of Oxygen Pulse meters and 10 litre Oxygen Concentrator for the use of health authorities in Sri Lanka.
The consignment of medical supplies was handed over to the Consul General of Sri Lanka to Dubai and Northern Emirates by President of the CA Sri Lanka UAE Chapter Mr. Sajeep Kalinga, in the presence of the chapter members Mr. S. Kirusantharaj and Mr. Indika Rathnayake.
The Consul General expressed his appreciation for the efforts taken by the members of the CA Sri Lanka UAE Chapter towards this worthy cause. The medical supplies were airlifted to Colombo on a gratis basis by SriLankan airlines.
The UAE Chapter was inaugurated in 2015 to cater to the professional needs of CA Sri Lanka’s overseas membership based in the United Arab Emirates including Dubai. The aim of the chapter is to enhance the professional skills by organizing various professional development programmes, as well as to provide an opportunity for social and community interaction and also advocate and promote the value that members of CA Sri Lanka add to businesses locally and globally.
Nearly 30% of CA Sri Lanka qualified Chartered Accountants work overseas across all continents. CA Sri Lanka has overseas chapters in Australia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
