Embark celebrates Easter with kids, dogs and bunny fun
Bunnies, doggies and children came together for a great cause at a fun-filled event by Embark to celebrate Easter while spreading its message of love and compassion.
Childrenenjoyed the many Easter activities that were part of ‘Niko’s Easter Party’ at the ‘Araliya’ Car Park of Crescat Boulevard, where the proceedings culminated with several puppies finding loving homes, one of the principal objectives of Embark.
The children had an opportunity to have their photographs taken at a ‘Pashionable’ photo booth, have their faces painted at a face art booth, paint their own Easter eggs, join in an Easter doggy hunt with Niko, get creative at the ‘creative pooch corner’ and buy balloons from Bandit’s Balloon Bonanza as well as compete in Rozzy’s speedy egg race.
Niko, the pashionable brand’s mascot and his partners in crime, Bandit and Rozzy who have inspired some of the clothing that supports the cause, were at the party to greet and play with the children.
“Niko’s Easter Party was the perfect setting to introduce the younger generation to the values that Embark upholds such as love, kindness and compassion,” said Otara Gunewardene, Founder of Embark.
A fashion brand established in 2007 with a social responsibility agenda built into it, Embark has made a significant change in the life of the street dog by deploying surgical sterilisation and anti-rabies vaccination programmes, puppy re-homing and rescue and treatment projects in various parts of the country. These services, that are offered free of charge to the public, are funded by the sale of Embark merchandise.
