23rd SANASA Nelum Mal Pujawa concludes successfully
The annual Buddhist event of offering lotus flowers (Nelum Mal Pujawa) at the Ruwanweli Maha Seya and Jaya Siri Maha Bodhi, Anuradhapura, organized by the SANASA movement, was successfully held recently for the 23rd time. This year’s event, held to bestow blessings on all Sri Lankans, was carried forth by SANASA societies led by the Rajanganaya Yaya 06/07 SANASA society. Ven. Rajakeeya Panditha Kothmale Chandananda Thera – the head of Andigala Raja Maha Vihara, the deputy head of Rajanganaya Sri Vidyajothi Pirivena, and Ven, Menikhinne Deeranandabidhana Nayaka Thera – Sanganayaka of Nuwaragam Palatha & North Central Province, Registrar of Anuradhapura District Sasanarakshaka Bala Mandala, Registrar of Vavuniya Mullaitivu District Kruthyadikari Parivenadhipathi Association, Administrative Registrar of World Buddhist Sangha Youth Sri Lanka Branch and Head of Talawa Sri Gnanodaya Maha Pirivena led the event. A large number of devotees from across the country took part in this event which started by offering lotus flowers to the Jaya Siri Maha Bodhi. Then milk rice was offered to the Ruwanweli Maha Seya and the event concluded with alms giving a Abayagiriya temple. SANASA Life Insurance organized a cool drink dansela for the devotees. SANASA Life Insurance also extended gratitude for all those who took part.
