DFCC Bank Continues to Shine with Multiple Accolades Celebrating Innovation, Inclusivity and Customer Convenience
DFCC Bank, Sri Lanka’s Bank for Everyone, has recently won a number of prestigious awards, underscoring its commitment to digital innovation, inclusivity and exceptional customer experiences. The awards include the FITIS Digital Excellence Award for its hybrid mobile banking app, DFCC Virtual Wallet, the Effie Merit Award for the DFCC Aloka launch campaign and two awards at the LankaPay Technnovation Awards.

FITIS Digital Excellence Awards
The Bank’s hybrid mobile banking app, DFCC Virtual Wallet, received a Merit Award under the connected product and service category at the 2nd Digital Excellence Awards organised by the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS). DFCC Virtual Wallet has been a game-changer in the banking industry since its introduction in 2015. The App has since evolved its features and functionalities, adding new features to enhance customer convenience and continuously improve user experience.
DFCC Virtual Wallet offers a range of features, including funds transfers to other banks via CEFTS, payment of other bank credit cards via CEFTS, and managing DFCC Credit Cards by checking credit card limits, available balances, payment due dates, minimum payments owing, cashback rewards earned, and statements. Customers can also check the balances of all DFCC Bank current and savings accounts, along with the last 10 transactions, fixed deposit balances, tenures, interest rates, maturity dates, loan balances, due amounts, and the next payment date. The App also allows fund transfers to any DFCC Bank Account, managing funding sources, sending, and requesting money, and favourite transactions and making payments to more than 50 billers and institutions.
Effie Merit Award
DFCC Bank also received the prestigious Effie Merit Award in the new product and service category for the launch campaign of its DFCC Aloka women’s banking proposition. The Effie Merit Award recognises DFCC Bank’s commitment to creating effective marketing strategies that drive success and encourage thoughtful dialogue about the drivers of marketing effectiveness. The campaign was designed with a 360-degree marketing approach, including pre-launch, launch, and post-launch campaigns to promote and position the Bank’s new women-centric banking services.

These prestigious awards recognise DFCC Bank’s unwavering focus on providing innovative and customer-centric solutions that help drive financial inclusion in Sri Lanka.
