Alpha launches revamped corporate website
Alpha Industries, one of the leading furniture manufacturers in Sri Lanka, has launched their new-look corporate website www.alpha.lk providing their valued customers with new ways to engage with the company.
The new Alpha website has been designed with a focus on simplicity. The home page portrays intricate line art drawings while key Alpha home and office furniture are highlighted using actual photos.The website ensures seamless device compatibility across desktops, tablets and smartphones providing prospective customers with the opportunity to access it on-the-go. The key products of Alpha – Furniture, Security and Interior Solutions – are categorized on the main menu giving the user easy access to each section. On click, the user is given a list of options available under each category.
The most notable feature of the new Alpha website is the extensive Online Product Catalogue that has been carefully put together to allow the users to get detailed information on the company’s wide range of products. The user can click on each product thumbnail in order to access in-depth information such as specifications, dimensions and colors, while a zoom-in facility enables customers to have a closer look at each item. A user interested in making a purchase can click on a button to add the product to an “Inquiry Cart”. On checking out, the user is taken to a page where a simple form allows them to submit their name and contact details. On submission, the Alpha team gets in touch with the prospective customer within 24 hours to proceed with the sale.
Commenting on the company’s objectives for the new-look website, Mr. Priyanjith Weerasooriya Managing Director of Alpha stated, “Today’s tech-savvy customers access the Web through numerous devices. Therefore, we felt it was time that we took our corporate website to the next level to reach out to these customers in a more efficient manner. We have made sure that the website loads fast and flawlessly on all types of desktops, tablets and smartphones.” He added that the new website has been developed with a solid technological foundation so that the company can build on it in the future as more and more customers turn to online shopping.“The website will continue to evolve and grow so that the prospective buyer will have a host of information necessary to make an informed purchase decision,” he added.
Explaining the technical aspects of the website, Mr. Safraz Careem – Director Sales and Marketing of Alpha stated, “In keeping with the modern trends, the new Alpha website has been conceptualized and designed to enhance the web user’s online experience. Therefore, we looked at several key areas of the website. Simplicity and ease-of-use were two very important aspects we focused on. We want to present a clean-cut website to the user, so that they can access the information they require in a few clicks, with minimum fuss. We also wanted them to experience the wide array of products we have on offer. Hence, after categorization into the 3 main business areas from the Home Page, we take the user to our Online Product Catalogue so that he or she could take their time and browse through our entire product range, if required.”
Alpha has deployed a team to keep the website updated regularly and respond to customer orders and queries within a short period of time. “The team is fully geared to respond to any order or query in a speedy manner,” assured Careem. Established in 1963, Alpha Industries is a subsidiary of Finco Group that manufactured steel office furniture during its early days and later expanded to manufacture all kinds of security safes for which it continues to be the market leader even today. The company later ventured into the manufacturing of Steel, Melamine and Wood-base office furniture in addition to designing and executing its own office interiors. The company operates 3 factories and employs approximately 650 employees. Today, Alpha also manufactures furniture for homes, hospitals and the Leisure Sector.
