Energy Saving Webinar Series Launched
Colombo: The USAID Sri Lanka Energy Program is hosting a series of technical webinars on energy-saving technologies, including the planning, and deployment of such systems. Sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and conducted by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the first webinar on April 22 featured experts who discussed energy storage technology and market trends. Over 75 participants from the private sector, universities, and government agencies learned about cost trends, commercial technologies, and the integration and deployment status of energy-saving systems worldwide.
Additional webinars will feature prominent international experts who will speak on topics such as using battery energy storage systems, conducting cost-benefit analyses and strategic planning, understanding system safety, deployment, and operations.
