NOLIMIT claims pride of place in ‘TOP 25 BEST COMPANIES TO WORK FOR IN SRI LANKA 2016’ rankings
Sri Lanka’s leading fashion retail chain, NOLIMIT, was adjudged one of the TOP 25 Best Companies To Work For In Sri Lanka 2016 in the study by the Great Place to Work® Institute in partnership with LMD and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. NOLIMIT was ranked in the top 25 companies’ listing from a pool of over 77 companies in Sri Lanka, representing over 14 business sectors. NOLIMIT was chosen from amongst some of the leading corporates in the country, which reflects the strong fundamentals of the company in relation to people management. NOLIMIT also commended in the category of ‘Excellence in Diverse Workforce’, which is one of 5 best practice category awards under which the Top 25 companies are selected.
Overall, the culture audit and survey statement study for the Top 25 Best Companies to Work For in Sri Lanka are spread across the five dimensions of pride, respect, camaraderie, credibility and fairness. This suggests that a balanced approach in establishing these dimensions is the core of creating a great workplace, instead of focusing on one pillar.
The Great Place to Work® Institute Sri Lanka Category Awards aim to promote excellence in specific areas, by identifying and recognizing great workplaces that provide a favorable work environment and set the standard for exemplary work cultures. Scope of the Study 2016
This year, Great Place to Work® Institute conducted the survey amongst more than 16,000 employees in Sri Lanka, of which, close to 85 percent responded. The 2016 study impacted almost 60,000 employees. With encouraging representation from the information technology, manufacturing, and retail and trading sectors, along with a strong presence among multinationals, the composition of participants in this year’s study is worthy of note. The study was apportioned under 2 scales’, a culture audit report and surveys for the employees independently. The report on the processes, policies and best practices were to be submitted for evaluations on the culture audit and surveys were administered to a stratified random sample of employees from each organization that undertook the assessment. Employees included in the sample were able to respond to the survey either online or in the paper-pencil format. Surveys were made available in English, Sinhala and Tamil languages.
