SLIM NASCO 2016 to look for the ‘Best of the Best’
It’s NASCO time again. The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) has just started the process for the National Sales Congress (NASCO) 2016 – its premier event dedicated to the recognition of the efforts and performance of sales personnel.
NASCO serves as a platform to provide recognition in order too enable companies to identify their top sales performers and aid individuals in achieving the next level in their careers.
The participants’ brief of NASCO 2016 was held recently at Hilton Residence (JAIC), Colombo.
This year, the NASCO awards are being presented for the 16th consecutive year.
The awards are presented in fifteen diverse business sectors and under each business sector territorial managers, sales executives/sales supervisors and front- liners are recognized. The period of review for entries was the 31st December 2015 / 31st March 2016. In addition to Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, the best female is also recognized under each category. Organizations can nominate up to two persons under territorial managers sector; four under sales executives/sales supervisors; and seven under front-liners.
Entries are now open and will be closed on 30th June 2016. Limited liability companies, partnerships and sole proprietorships duly registered and carrying on business in Sri Lanka can submit their entries for the awards. The sectors for nominations are: Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Financial Services &Banking, Industrial, Media, Consumer Durables, Telecommunication, Fashion & Clothing, Healthcare, Modern Retail, Travel & Leisure, Insurance, Alcohol & Tobacco, and Corporate Selling.
The NASCO 2016 Gala Awards Ceremony has been scheduled for the 27th of August at Water’s Edge.
SLIM as the National Body of Marketing has been in the forefront in fostering marketing knowledge and best practices in the country, and SLIM NASCO is the only national event that recognizes and rewards sales personnel covering a spectrum of business sectors. The awards aims to recognize, motivates and nurture the sales fraternity of the country by enhancing their learning curve in salesmanship. It also facilitates cross industry sales learning, imparts greater exposure to thecountry’s sales professionals, builds confidence among the wide spectrum of participants, and comprehensively develops the leadership and presentation skills of participants.
