Certified HR Auditor Programme for the 1st time in Sri Lanka
IPM Sri Lanka – the premier professional body for human resources management in Sri Lanka – in collaboration with India’s T.V Rao Learning Systems (TVRLS) will be conducting the renowned Certified HR Auditor Programme in Sri Lanka. The programme targeting HR Directors, Heads of HR, HR Managers, HR consultants, HR trainers and other senior HR staff from the private sector as well as government and statutory bodies will be held over 5 full days from 1st to 5th of September at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo. At the end of the workshop all participants who duly completed the daily curriculum will be issued a certification as a Certified HR Auditor jointly by IPM Sri Lanka and TVRLS.
The Certified HR Auditor programme will be conducted by leading HR professional and trainer Prof. T. V. Rao. He is the founder and the first President of the National HRD network and the First Honorary Director Academy of HRD, India. He was a visiting lecturer at the Indian Business School, Hyderabad and also served as a HRD Advisor to Reserve Bank of India.
“The Certified HR Auditor programme is being held for the first time in Sri Lanka, and it aims to revolutionize the role of HR by enhancing its contribution to the organizational bottom line” said Rohitha Amarapala-President, IPM Sri Lanka.
“We encourage HR practitioners to participate in this programme as an HR Audit is an important exercise towards ensuring that an organization is on track from a human resource perspective in achieving its long term strategic business goals” he added.
The participants in the programme will be exposed to different HR practices and will be able to develop HRD Audit skills and HRD score-card 2500TM scoring skills while gaining knowhow on the scientific processes and methodologies in the assessment of HR strategy, HR systems, HR practices, and Management Leadership styles, and be in a position to develop a systematic and scientific framework for need analysis and profile of HR function in the organization.
The benefits of the programme for the organization are manifold and includes obtaining feedback on the contribution of the HR function in achieving the organization’s strategic business objectives, assessment of the current quality of HR policies, practices, delivery and preparedness for the future, audit competencies for future use, identification of ways in which to align the HRD function with business goals, compilation of the organization’s HRD score card, setting guidelines for re-establishing HR performance standards and identifying areas for change and improvement with specific recommendations. These are important areas which will help an organization to assess the adequacy and appropriateness of its HR practices, policies, rules and regulations as an equal partner in achieving strategic goals and objectives of the organization.
The programme teaching/course methodology will include lectures, mock audit, desktop reviews and case studies while the entry criteria will be the membership of IPM or PQHRM/Diploma in HRM awarded by IPM or, Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in HRM from a recognized University and a minimum of 5 years managerial experience in the field of HRM in a recognized Public or Private Sector Organization. In addition, participants should possess a good command of the English language both verbal and written.
