“Sustainable Housekeeping Management” workshop series started from Kandy region and there onwards will continue to cover entire Sri Lanaka initially and taking this to internationally develop and enhance the skill of industry professionals in the word. Next Sessions will be in Negombo, Colombo, Bentotata, Deep Down South, Culture Triangle, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Arugambay, Passikuda and within 2023 will cover entire Sri Lanka and move to on to the other countries as well. The first session of Sustainable Housekeeping Management workshop conducted at Earl’s Regency Hotel Kandy organized by Ecstasy Professional Management Institute (EPMI), Sri Lanka with the aim of enhance the knowledge of Sustainable Housekeeping Management and its serious  and prominence for the success of today´s hospitality operations. The Resource person is an eminent person; Mr. Saman Udagama, Accommodations and Quality Assurance Manager at The Grand Hotel, NuwaraEliya, who is a specialist in Housekeeping Management in Hospitality Industry for more than 26years.

This workshop mainly focused on the key aspects of innovation management, environment and energy management, chemicals and safe handling, budgeting and expenses, interior design, right product purchasing, concept, streamline operations, managing, duties and responsibilities of staff and minimalism. The Sustainable management workshop will help organizations to reduce overheads costs and increase the bottom line revenue directly by Increasing durability of linen from 200 washes to 400 washes, introducing proper maintenance schedules and innovative methods will reduce the 60% of  maintenance cost, 50% water savings from selecting right chemicals, sustainable purchasing practices will reduce the storing space and time, energy and money savings, sustainable laundry practices will reduce the operational cost from 40% and increase the indoor air quality and so much more.
