Panther present at Nürnberg Toy Fair
Panther, one of the first and only manufacturers of educational toys, games and stationery in Sri Lanka recently participated at the Nürnberg Toy Fair in Germany, one of the three largest toy exhibitions in the world and one of the toy industry’s leading trade shows. Showcasing products ranging from sand crafts to board games and jigsaw puzzles, Sri Lanka’s toy manufacturers exhibited a wide variety of new and existing products at a self standing booth for the fourth consecutive year.
Commenting on their participation at Nürnberg Mohanthi Atukorala, Director, Panther, said, “Year on year at Nürnberg Toy Fair we see great opportunities. We see it as a space for us to showcase the quality products created by Panther and an opportunity for us to see what is happening in the world of toys and stationery. At Nürnberg we have also created partnership with world famous creative talents to create exclusive ranges of products for Panther. Last year we partnered with Belgium designer, Piet De Rycker to develop and launch the ‘Happy Do’s’ range of stationery, which has seen a great demand as it is young, vibrant and different.”
Talking about their products Mohanthi further added, “Our aim is to create cost effective products that are effective and of good quality. Every Panther product is made to the highest quality standards from non-toxic ink and materials; they conform to EN 71 standards. Careful research goes into the design and development of every Panther item and the company counts leading educational practitioners and child psychologists in the country as consultants on all our products.”
Panther has created a cross section of products that includes challenging games, puzzles, books and flash cards that, among other advantages, aid colour and shape recognition, encourage logical thinking, enhance vocabulary and encourage cognitive development through play and reading.
