Hemas Southern Hospital, first ever private hospital to win at the “Dakshina Suwa Wiru Abhishekaya-2014”
Hemas Southern Hospital, the proud member of the first internationally accredited hospital chain in Sri Lanka, emerged victorious at the recently concluded “Dakshina Suwa Wiru Abhishekaya-2014” award ceremony organised by the Provincial Director of Health Services – Southern Province.
Mr. Nishantha Jayamanne, General Manager, Hemas Southern Hospital, Galle, received the award for the best private hospital in the Southern Province from Dr.Palitha Maheepala, Director General of Health Services at the ceremony held at the Medical Faculty Auditorium- Karapitiya.
“Dakshina Suwa Wiru Abhishekaya” award ceremony commenced four years ago to appreciate and encourage healthcare services provided by state hospitals in the Southern Province. It introduced awarding private hospitals for the first time in 2014, and as such Hemas Southern Hospital could mark the history by being the first ever private hospital to win the award by scoring the highest on evaluation parameters, which included general administration, medication management, medical record management, financial process, infection control, safety & quality improvement, customer service & public relations as well as training & development.
