Hameedia Partners 4th Edition of HSBC CFW Resort Show 2016
Continuously setting the benchmark in the fashion industry, Hameedia, Sri Lanka’s leading menswear brand, recently partnered with the HSBC Colombo Fashion Week (CFW) Resort Show 2016, for the fourth consecutive year. This year’s show took place from 1 to 3 October 2015 in Galle. Hameedia’s partnership with CFW extends over 11 years and the company has supported the HSBC CFW Resort Show since its inception four years ago. On the second day of the highly anticipated show, Hameedia unveiled its sophisticated and chic men’s resortwear collection.
The FH evening wear collection for the CFW Resort Show 2016 featured a mix of trendy printed short sleeve shirts, casual shorts, as well as a collection of jackets and kurthas. Drawing its inspiration from hues of neutral earthy tones, the colours featured in the collection were natural shades of white, ecru, blue and green. The collection comprised sleek and comfortable pieces made from natural cottons and linen materials, which are well suited for tropical climates and are ideal for any occasion.
Hameedia has been a driving force in the local fashion industry and has represented Sri Lanka on prestigious fashion ramps across the world. Last year Hameedia partnered with CFW for Asian Fashion Week (AFW), which took place in Surabaya City, Indonesia. Hameedia unveiled its stylish FH collection at the AFW show and dazzled the audience with three different looks, which were inspired by the colour theme of blue. The Resort edition of the HSBC CFW Resort Show 2016 is extremely relevant to Sri Lankan fashion because it enables the country to make a mark internationally as a leader in resortwear, which is a growing fashion category around the world, as well showcasing the iconic Galle Fort as an important tourist destination.
