Hameedia provides employees with exclusive training on visual merchandising
Continuously setting the benchmark in the fashion industry, Hameedia, Sri Lanka’s leading menswear specialist recently enrolled 34 employees at the University of Moratuwa for a six-week long certificated course in Visual Merchandising. Hameedia’s VM Team, as well as the company’s Showroom Managers and Area Managers attended the programme.
The course provided an in-depth training that helped the employees to improve their merchandising, branding and display techniques and taught them the latest trends in regards to lighting, in-store designs and floor plan layouts. An awards ceremony to acknowledge the employees’ successful completion of the course was held at the Department of Architecture’s Auditorium. Hameedia team members who were present at the ceremony included Sithumina Rathnamala, Head of Department, Yasotharan Paramanantham, Head of Retail, Sales and Marketing, Indika Perera, Assistant General Manager, Human Resource Manager, A.T.M Farzan, Merchandising Manager of Hameedia. Also present from the Hameedia team were M. Shafeek, Merchandising and Product Development specialist, Ramasamy Balakumar, Manager Advertising and Promotions, and Hana Saleemdeen, Assistant Manager Training and Development.
