They were recently awarded their first Gold Award for ‘SME Local Brand of the Year’ and Bronze Award for ‘Best New Entrant Brand’ at the recently held SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2021. La Vivente is the first women’s fashion brand in Sri Lanka to win two awards in this genre at the SLIM Awards. The ceremony is organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, which celebrates the outstanding performances of corporates and brands, their dedication and commitment to consumer-driven initiatives and innovative market approaches. SLIM endeavours and encourage best practices in branding and raises local brands to global standards, thereby enhancing the image of marketing in the country.
Behind the brand, La Vivente is the husband-and-wife duo, Co-Founder and Director, Dr. Dilesha Perera and Suneth Korala. La Vivente falls under Dilchand (Pvt) Ltd and was founded only two years ago. Starting as an online business and has now grown with three physical stores located in Galle, Koswatte and Negombo. Dilchand was established in the year 2009 and has now expanded into a large clothing supplier. From supplying many leading outlets across Sri Lanka; they are currently involved in retail and exclusively supply only for La Vivente.
