Pears Happy Town; a unique concept unveiled at Pears Baby & You Fair
Pears, Sri Lanka’s leading baby care brand dedicated to make Sri Lanka a Nation of Happy Babies made thousands of babies and mothers happy with the unique “Pears Happy Town” & “Pears Happy Baby Learning Centre” at the Pears Baby & You fair which commenced on 30th Jan 2015. The exhibition which was dedicated to all mothers and babies of Sri Lanka was partnered by Pears and held from January 30th to February 1st at the BMICH.
The ‘Pears Happy Town’, a key highlight of the exhibition, featured a variety of fun stops for babies. Special features for children included the Pears Royal Palace, Pears Hospital and Pears Restaurant, where children were able to dress up and role play as nurse, doctor or chef etc. They further had the opportunity to attend active story telling sessions accompanied by a puppet show from the book titled “A Royal Lesson in Bravery” while enjoying drum and music lessons with professionals as well as participate in many other fun and exciting activities. In addition, happy babies who visited Pears Happy Town also got the opportunity to win exiting gifts from Pears.
“This was an exciting new initiative for us as a brand dedicated to make babies happy and let them learn more. We believe we brought an element of change and originality to this exhibition with the Pears Happy Town feature,” stated Vidhushi Rambukwella, Assistant Brand Manager – Pears.
In addition to the wealth of knowledge acquired by speaking to baby care experts, parents were also able to familiarise themselves with the online portal of the Pears Happy Baby Learning Centre which has accumulated a plethora of knowledge and resources that are beneficial for parenting. This platform disseminates baby care expertise from multiple partners to all Sri Lankan mothers.
Imeshika Kariyawasam, Senior Brand Manager – Pears stated, “We did not forget our beloved parents who play an important role in a child’s learning journey therefore we organised activities such as free consultations with paediatricians and counsellors especially focusing on the emotional happiness of their babies. We believe their interactions were beneficial to them as well as their babies. It is very encouraging to see the overwhelming response we are getting from the mothers and babies; therefore we will remain committed to our journey of creating a Nation of Happy Babies!”
