Allianz Insurance Lanka Limited (Allianz Lanka) was recognized yet again as a “Company with Great Managers” at the Great Manager Awards (2018), held recently at The Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo.
The event also saw six managers from Allianz Lanka walking away with Great Manager awards. Mr. Hemantha Yattowita, Mr. Manaram Panwilawanththa, Mr. Jayanath Alwis, Mr. Ruwan Weerasinghe and Mr. W. J. M. Ranga Dias were recognized as Great Managers in the Driving Results and Execution category. Mr. Prasanna J. Kodikara received the Great Manger award in the Enhancing People Performance category.
“We are honored to be recognized as a Company with Great Managers at the Great Manager Awards – Sri Lanka for the second consecutive year. I am also delighted to see six of our managers receive Great Manager awards at this forum,” said Mrs. Surekha Alles, Managing Director, Allianz Insurance Lanka Limited. “This is a further validation of the caliber of our world-class team who go the extra mile to ensure that the needs of our customers are met consistently. Their hard work and determination has been instrumental in helping us emerge as one of the strongest players in this market. We are especially proud of the fact that we received this recognition during a year of adaptation and change which saw us invest further and expand our business in Sri Lanka.”
Organized in Sri Lanka by the Colombo Leadership Academy in partnership with People Business India, the Great Manager Awards are conferred by The Great Manager Awards, a global human resource management consulting body committed to improving performance capabilities and business acumen of partner organizations. Individual nominees are assessed for managerial effectiveness based on People Business’ R-OPTI model based on five constructs – Driving Results, Aligning Organization Vision, Enhancing People Performance, Building Team Effectiveness and Sustaining Individual Credibility. The survey and results are audited by an esteemed advisory panel and faculty.
Commending the organizers of the event, Mrs. Alles noted, “Managers play a pivotal role in driving their teams and organizations towards greater success. While their performance is sure to be identified and rewarded within their individual companies, these silent warriors don’t get much public recognition. Bringing them to the fore, platforms such as this help showcase their contributions to the world at large.”
