Ceylinco Life offers ‘Contactless’ Life Insurance & Retirement Plans during lockdown
Life insurance protection or an investment in retirement that can be obtained in a matter of minutes without venturing out of one’s home is the latest response of Ceylinco Life to the COVID-19 mandated lockdown.
Sri Lanka’s life insurance leader is now offering what it calls “Contactless Life Insurance” with uncomplicated Online Life Insurance and Retirement plans that can be purchased and paid for via the Company’s website.
The initiative makes it unnecessary for those interested in either category of investment to wait for a return to normality to act, the Company said. Ceylinco Life was the first local life insurer to introduce a comprehensive set of Online Life and Retirement solutions to the market.
The online plans are easy to access, understand and purchase and are available 365 days of the year.
Ceylinco Life’s Online Life Insurance plan is comprehensive with an optional Accidental Death Benefit as well as a Critical Illness option which covers 36 critical illnesses, which is the same as the standard Critical Illness Cover from the Company.
The life plan also has a savings option which can be selected by someone who wishes to generate a return throughout the period of cover, where the savings made for the plan would accumulate at a rate which would be determined by the Company. The rate would be higher than the standard savings rate and competitive with most FD rates offered by banks, the Company said.
Purchase of a retirement plan without a life cover is possible with the Online Retirement option offered by Ceylinco Life.
The Company said the retirement plan too is easy to understand and the completion of the process would take less than 10 minutes.
All online plans can be viewed at www.ceylincolife.com. Clicking on ‘Buy Online’ enables the visitor to choose either life insurance or retirement, obtain a quotation for his or her need on the spot and progress to the filling of the registration, answer some basic questions regarding health and habits, and proceed to payment which can be done safely and securely.
All payments can be done online as well with the Easy Pay option and customers can view their plans in full via the Online Customer Portal, the Company said.
Ceylinco Life is also offering multiple online payment and communications options as well as facilitation of settlement of claims, to ensure policyholder requirements are met as they stay safe in their homes to protect themselves, their families and the community against the spread of COVID-19.
