Discounts up to 60% for Combank ‘Anagi’ Debit Card holders to mark International Women’s Day
As the world unites to “Press for Progress’ in gender parity on International Women’s Day, the Commercial Bank of Ceylon will help holders of ‘Anagi’ accounts – created by the Bank exclusively for women – to celebrate the occasion with attractive discounts at a number of top-notch retailers in Sri Lanka.
Commencing on March 8, this gender-specific promotion will offer discounts of up to 60 per cent at leading retailers of jewellery, wristwatches, eyewear, clothing, swimwear and books to all holders of Commercial Bank ‘Anagi’ accounts who pay with their Anagi branded Debit Cards. The offers are available till 30th April 2018, covering the heaviest shopping season of the year.
Participating retail partners include Raja Jewellers, Mallika Hemachandra Jewellers, M.D. Gunasena, Choice Park, Glory Swimwear, Spring & Summer, Stone ‘N’ String, Vision Care Optical Services, and Wimaladharma & Sons.
Launched in 2012, Commercial Bank’s Anagi Women’s Savings account is designed to recognise women and support their aspirations. It recognises that the contribution of women to GDP is substantial, with more than half of the 11 million plus women in Sri Lanka increasingly shouldering financial responsibilities despite the multiple roles they play.
An ‘Anagi’ Women’s Savings account can be opened with a minimum deposit of Rs 1,000. The account offers an interest rate over the normal savings rate, one of the best rates in the savings account category for women, concessionary interest rates on pawning, no restrictions on withdrawals and a COMBANK Shopping Debit Card with year-round discounts at select merchant outlets.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2018, celebrated on Thursday 8th March, is #PressforProgress.
The only Sri Lankan bank to be ranked among the Top 1000 banks of the world for seven years consecutively, Commercial Bank operates a network of 261 branches and 756 ATMs in Sri Lanka.
