HNB partners with over 300 merchants to offer discounts up to 70% for Avurudu
Sri Lanka’s largest private sector retail bank, HNB PLC, has unveiled a bonanza of offers for Debit and Credit cardholders to enjoy the upcoming festive season to the fullest.
Between March 15th to April 30th, HNB has collaborated with over 300 prominent merchants spanning across Sri Lanka’s top retail, lifestyle, jewellery, and e-commerce brands, along with popular restaurants, supermarkets, and hotels all over the island – all in order to offer HNB’s Debit and Credit cardholders exclusive access to bargains of exceptional market value, featuring discounts of up to 70% and zero-interest instalment plans extending up to 24 months.

HNB has made it a top priority to ensure that their customers get the most out of their festive season grocery shopping by partnering with several well-known supermarkets to offer great promotions. HNB Debit and Credit cardholders can now avail themselves of exclusive discounts of up to 25% on specific days at leading supermarkets like Glomark, Arpico, Cargills, and Keells.
The bank has also leveraged its position as Sri Lanka’s top digital banking service provider to strategically partner with some of Sri Lanka’s top online and retail platforms to provide its customers with maximum value during this festive season. Customers can turn to Pickme Food, Market, or Uber Eats to enjoy a variety of promotions to accompany their grocery and food needs, or to Atlas Myshop and Promateworld.com for their stationary needs. In addition, Wasi.lk, Daraz, or Takas.lk offer a range of unique benefits, including 0% easy payment plans, to HNB customers looking to fulfill all their other needs.
Given the season’s accompanying boom in electronics purchases, HNB also ensured that their customers can be sure they are obtaining the best deals by partnering with reputed brands, such as Abans and Buyabans, Singer showrooms and Singer.lk, Softlogic showrooms, Softlogic MAX and Furniture, Seetha Holdings, Dinapala Group, Hunters, Singhagiri & Company and CameraLK. Depending on the merchant, cardholders can enjoy discounts of up to 55% on selected items and zero-interest instalment schemes for up to 24 months.
Discounts and zero-interest instalments are also applicable for purchases at renowned jewellery stores for HNB Credit cardholders. Discounts of up to 70% for selected jewellery items are offered for purchases at Premadasa Jewellers, Raja Jewellers, Zam Jems, Vogue Jewellers, Arthur De Silva and Beverly Jewellers, in addition to interest-free instalment schemes up to -12 months.
HNB Credit cardholders can also enjoy substantial discounts while dining at many of the country’s most popular restaurants as well as special discounts at select hotel properties. Cardholders will have access to exclusive discounts at Jetwing and Aitken Spence properties. Additionally, customers can use their Credit cards to purchase any Large Pan/Thin Crust Pizza from Pizza Hut and receive a complimentary equivalent or lesser Medium Pan Pizza, or purchase one item from Taco Bell’s à la carte menu and receive a second item for free.
They will also receive a discount of 20% when using their credit cards of delivery and take away orders from Indulgence at the Kingsbury Hotel, and receive a 20% discount when using their Credit cards to purchase food from the hotel’s dinner buffet at Flavoured, Cinnamon Red, as well as Taj Samudra. Customers can also enjoy the same discount on the à la carte food menu and Dinner Buffet, as well as High Tea Buffet at Ramada on selected days.
During the course of the month, HNB also plans to launch several promotions of up to 30% off at leading retail stores across the nation. They also reiterated their commitment to helping the nation, with up to 06 months of interest free payment schemes for education, hospital and insurance-related transactions till the 30th of April.
Realising the problems that a majority of Sri Lanka’s citizens face with escalating electricity prices, combined with HNB’s own sustainability drive towards renewable energy, they are also offering interest-free payments for up to 24 months at selected Solar merchants, till the end of April.
