Nations Trust Bank celebrates an Avurudu steeped in tradition
Nations Trust Bank (NTB) is paying tribute to the rich historic traditions surrounding the Avurudu festival by improving public awareness on the significance of the various ‘nekath’ (auspicious moments), engaging in ‘ganu-denu’ with the customers and by giving customers tokens of appreciation, reflecting the value of their relationship with the bank.
“As a bank with much respect for customs and traditions, Nations Trust Bank takes pleasure in improving public awareness of many fascinating aspects surrounding the festival and supporting our customers in celebrating various traditions such as engaging in ‘Avurudu ganu-denu’,” Chief Marketing Officer of Nations Trust Bank Shaan Wickremesinghe said. “The New Year also presents an opportunity for us to deepen our engagement with customers and to show them our appreciation.”
Reflecting the value of their relationship with the bank, customers who make deposits during Avurudu – from 14th to 30th April – will also be presented with tokens of appreciation ranging from Cooler Boxes, Wall Clocks and Travel Bags to Umbrellas, Cooler Bags and Lunch Bags.
Deposits from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 10,000 in an existing or new Savings Account of Nations Trust Bank will be rewarded with a Lunch Bag during the period. Customers who deposit Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 25,000 in Savings Accounts will be entitled to receive an Umbrella.
Cooler Bags or a Travel Bag will be given for deposits between Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 50,000 in an existing or a new Savings Account. Deposits from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 million in Savings Accounts or in Fixed Deposits with a tenure of six months or more will be rewarded with Wall Clocks. A Cooler Box will be given for Fixed Deposits above Rs. 1 million with a tenure of six months or more.
The Bank has also sponsored an awareness campaign on electronic media to improve public awareness of particularly the ‘nekath’ (auspicious moments) by obtaining inputs from Professor J. B. Dissanayake. Nations Trust also kept branches open for extended hours on the New year for ‘Avurudu ganu-denu’.
