People’s Bank joins customers in CelebratingDeepavali
22 People’s Bank branches and service centersrecently commemoratedDeepavaliin areas such as the North, East and Vanni as well as cities like Kandy, Rathnapura, Galle,NuwaraEliya, Puttalam and Colombo by remaining open for transactions. Furthermore, many of the branches also held special Deepavali celebrations in commemoration of the festival of lights across the island.
The main celebration was held at the Wellawatta Branch of People’s Bank with the participation of Deepal Abeysekara, Head of Marketing, People’s Bank, Chandani Werapitiya, Deputy General Manager Strategic Planning and Research, People’s Bank, Sunil Wanniarachchi, Deputy General Manager – International Banking, People’s Bank, MangalaGamage, Head of Finance, People’s Bank, , A. U. L. A. Ansar, Regional Manager – Colombo South, People’s Bank and Assistant Regional Managers – Colombo South, T. Sunil and B. G. Kusumalatha. A special Hindu poojawas conducted to invoke the blessings for the nation, customers as well as the staff of People’s Bank. Various Hindu cultural items added colour to the ceremony.
