Seylan Bank PLC Receives Special Recognition Award From Wells Fargo Bank – New York
Seylan Bank PLC was accorded a “Special Recognition Award” by its USD correspondent Wells Fargo Bank, N.A, for the year 2018/2019. The accolade was awarded for Seylan Bank’s operational excellence and efficiency in the global payment community consisting of Trade and Remittances.
As per Wells Fargo, Seylan Bank PLC is the only local bank in Sri Lanka to receive this award. This achievement is even more significant as the Bank has received the award for the third successive year.
Wells Fargo is the ‘Most Valuable Banking Brand in North America for Retail Banking’ (2017) and ‘Third-Most Valuable Financial Services Brand in the World’ (2017) as recognized by Brand Finance and Forbes respectively. It has also been recognized as the Distinguished Provider for USD Global Transaction Services six years in a row, and also the number one bank in Overall Institutional Satisfaction among Global Financial Institutions (2018) rated by FImetrix Global Stats.
Mr. Rajaraman Subramaniam, Vice President, FIG Payment Services – South Asia, Wells Fargo Bank presented the accolade; which was accepted by Director/CEO of Seylan Bank PLC Mr. Kapila Ariyaratne at a ceremony held recently.
