Dialog Champions League 2016 SUPER – 8 Round Resumes Jaswar Umar – Football’s CEO
After a 9 week long break for the National Team’s preparation activities, the Super 8 round of the DCL, football’s most popular competition is now scheduled to resume this week end, said Football’s CEO Jaswar Umar.
“We are now geared to continue from where we stopped of the Super – 8 round from the 19th and 20th weekends” Jaswar Umar said.
This time the Super – 8 round will be played at City Football League and Kelaniya Football grounds. FFSL is also looking at the possibilities of playing some games at outstation venues such as Matara and Kandy in order to make the game popular, provide more entertainments to many football fans. Jaffna is already confirmed as the one of the location for a weekend.
On the 19th November ( Saturday), – Colombo FC will play against Solid SC at City Football League while Blue Star SC will take on SL Air Force at Kelaniya.
On Sunday – 20th November, Renown SC will play against New Young’s SC at Kelaniya.
On Monday – 21st November, SL Army SC will play against SL Navy SC atKelaniyawhile all matches will kick off at 3.30 PM.
