FFSL Inter Academy Football Carnival
Football Federation of Sri Lanka is organized Inter Academy Football Carnival for the very first ever in history. The Inaugural Football Carnival will be held on 16th February 2019 at City Football Complex from 8.00 am onwards.
Number of Football Academies are currently being conducted island wide and FFSL invited all of them to register with FFSL to take part in this tournament and 54 Football academies have made the registration.
A total number of 28 Football Academies out of 54 registered academies, will take part in the first phase to be held tomorrow in Colombo while the 2nd phase to be conducted in Kandy in near future.
To uplift the Sri Lanka Football to the next level, FFSL initiated this idea to give more opportunities to young kids who are passionate with this beautiful game.
FFSL hopes to conduct these types of Football carnivals all over the country as a great investment to the future of Sri Lanka Football. Coaches can identify talented and skillful young kids through this type of event and develop their skills to the national levels.
Also this is a great opportunity to attract young kids to play football and make popular Football among the children.
The carnival to be conducted for the Under 12 age category and 28 Football Academies will be divided into 7 groups and they will have to compete in their groups. At the end, 7 group champions will be selected.
