Iconic Galaxy sponsors ‘Colombo Swimming Club Sports Gala’

Sri Lankan’s premium real estate developer, Iconic Developments Pvt Ltd will be sponsoring the ‘Colombo Swimming Club Sports Gala’ which is an annual event organized by the Colombo Swimming Club (CSC) for its members and families.

One of the most popular events of the Club’s calendar, the event will take place from February 22 to March 4 at the Swimming Club premises.

Dushyanthi Latino speaking on behalf of the CSC said that the event will entail badminton (Under 14 to 40 & Open category), table tennis (Under 15 to 40 & open category) and Squash (Under 18 to 40 & open category) tournaments.

“We are happy that Iconic Galaxy has come forward as a sponsor this year for the Sports Gala which is one of the most looked forward to events of our calendar. We are expecting a turnout of over 120 members for this year’s event,” she said.

Meanwhile, Head of Sales and Marketing at Iconic Developments Pvt Ltd Tharanga Thenuwara said that the company is proud to be a part of this event, which is being hosted by one of the most prestigious family clubs in the country.

“The Colombo Swimming Club boasts a remarkable year 82-year old history that dates back to the Colonial era. We are excited to be a part of this event because this is undoubtedly one of the most talked about sporting events in town.

“Through collaborations of this nature, we hope to raise awareness about our brand among a broader and diverse audience. We plan to get involved in more events of this nature in the future,” she added.

The Sports Gala will be held over 11 days and all finals followed by presentation of awards to winners will be held on March 4 at the Club.

Founded in 1936, The Colombo Swimming Club is considered “a home away from home” and is a place for family relaxation and meeting with friends in the heart of Colombo.
