Abeywardana Construction honoured with the National Construction Excellence Award
Abeywardana Construction, a leading company in the construction industry in Sri Lanka, was honoured with the Excellence Award in the 20 million – 40 million project category in the North Central Province at the National Construction Excellence Awards. The Company received this award for the construction of the Polonnaruwa Circuit Bungalow. The award ceremony was held at the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA) Conference Hall under the patronage of the Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Prasanna Ranatunga.As a government-registered contractor, Abeywardana Construction, which has marked a prestigious name in the construction industry in Sri Lanka, has successfully completed many types of constructions such as buildings, highways, bridges and canals. The Company is currently on a proud journey in the construction sector by contributing to many major construction projects in all parts of the country.
Abeywardana Construction, which has been serving the country since 1990, won excellence awards for the ‘Damminna-Kandegama Unified Water Distribution, Field Canal Improvement, and Rehabilitation Project’ in the skills tournament organised by the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka (NCASL). The company has also been honoured with many other local and international awards in the years 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 for the successful completion of constructions and related projects. The Managing Director of the Abeywardana Construction, Mr. B. M. W. Abeywardana received the ‘Janabhimani’ Award in 2017 and 2018. In addition, he has received the Business World International Organisation (BWIO) Gold Award as well as the Gold Award for the Best Entrepreneur of the Year at the South Asian Business Excellence Awards in 2021.
