Acer* launches Predator gaming series for Sri Lankan gaming enthusiasts
Intel® 6thGen powered devices deliver ultimate gaming experience tothe local gaming community
Acer* introduced its iconic gaming series Predator in Sri Lanka on 30thApril 2016, marking its leadership in producing world-class hardware for the growing global PC gaming industry. The series which includes notebooks, desktops and gaming monitors are targeted at the Sri Lankan gaming community, ranging from professional gamers to potential new users.
Acer Predator 15 and 17 notebooks are powered by 6th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 6700 HQ processors and includeNVIDIA® GeForce®GTX 980M graphics, powerful DDR4 memory and PCIe Solid State Drives (SSDs) which brings high-quality gaming experience for users. The notebooks also a feature a special technology called ‘Killer DoubleShot Pro’ which enables ethernet and Wi-Fi connections to work together for high speed online multiplayer games.Using an exclusive feature called ‘Predator FrostCore’, Acer allow users to swap the optical drive with a Cooler Master designed fan module, in order to lower excessive heat while playing games. Acer Predator 15 and Predator 17 come with Full HD displays.
Predator G6 and G3 desktops are powered by the latest 6th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-6700K processors. Running on the latest Windows 10 operating system, they come with 64GB of DDR4 dual-channel memory. Both desktops support NVIDIA* GeForce graphics and the casing allows for a bi-directional inflow of air to enable the IceTunnel cooling. Acer* also launched Predator X34* and XB271HU monitors with the former being the world’s first 34-inch, 21:9 ultra-wide curved monitor with NVIDIA* G-Sync technology. The monitor features IPS display panel with a 178-degree viewing angle, giving a wider field of view and increased perceived area of peripheral vision with rich colours.

Acer launched the Predator series in a gala event, making it Sri Lanka’s first-of-its kind of event to unveil a series of gaming laptops, desktops and monitors. The event held at the Park Street Mews was truly mesmerizing and grand with quiz completions, cosplays and scintillating entertainment acts from Drill team and iClown. It also attracted more than 400 local gamers for an epicgaming competition which featured the world-renowned free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game Dota 2. The plays from the competitors and the crowd made the event electrifying and enthralling.
