Hutch hosts Group Roaming Conference in Sri Lanka
Representatives from UK, Europe and Asia meet at Hutch Group Roaming Conference
HUTCH, Sri Lanka’s fastest growing mobile broadband network hosted the Hutchison Group Global Roaming Conference where representatives from Hutchison mobile companies in United Kingdom, Europe and Asia were present to discuss way forward roaming strategy and collective initiatives.
As global roaming rates remain to be a hot topic amongst overseas travelers around the globe, discussions at the conference ensued on the application of new roaming strategies for Sri Lanka leveraging the Group synergies globally.
A Group initiative already in place is the ‘Feel At Home’ service offered to 3UK subscribers who visit Sri Lanka where they can use their regular 3 mobile service quota including data at the same local rates as back in the UK with no additional roaming charges applied.
HUTCH Sri Lanka, Chief Executive Officer, Thirukumar Nadarasa said, “International roaming managers from all our Group subsidiaries were able to meet and discuss how Sri Lanka can more leverage the global know-how and relationships and address issues that would enable Hutch to better serve Sri Lankan roaming customers.
