Sri Lanka has high literacy rates of 92%, on par with many developed countries in the world. However, the country is yet to achieve its potential in computer literacy, MrDela said. Mr.Kishu Gomes began his career at the young age of 18 in sales. His dedication to his job saw him rising rapidly in his career to become the CEO of Chevron Lubricants Lanka at the age of 36. He currently serves as the CEO/Managing Director of Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, and Managing Director of Chevron Ceylon Limited, a fully owned Chevron company. He is also a Leadership Team member of the Asia Pacific Lubricants Regional team and a member of the Global Extended Leadership Team. He holds an MBA from the University of Leicester, UK, and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
