Having introduced Sri Lanka’s first IT Park in 2009, Orion Development, took its first steps towards the next milestone in the sector –Orion Towers, a state of the art, environmentally friendly, three-phase development in the heart of Colombowhich commenced construction recently.
Since its inception Orion City has sought to transform the scope of built-to-specification, cutting edge, commercial and office infrastructure through its philosophy of combining innovatory technology and international standards with a keen intuition for the needs of businesses. The company offers a comprehensive solution for the infrastructure requirements of 30international as well as Sri Lankan top corporates including Virtusa,Pearsons, WNS and Sri Lankan Airlines.
Orion Towers is the company’s most ambitious undertaking under the greater developmental master plan of the Orion City IT Park. This master plan envisions for its partners a one-stop hub for innovation and collaboration in a space custom designed for business and personal needs. At Orion Towers users will have access to gymnasiums, retail malls, dining options, and hospitality services, which will merge to become a micro-city catering to their every need. A boutique hotel and green eco-decks will also occupy the approximately 350,000 square feet of rentable area in the 22-floor building.
Located in Colombo 09 on Baseline Road, Orion Towers offers close proximity to the bustling metropolitan of the country’s commercial capital. The building’s design draws inspiration from the Orion belt, perhaps the most distinct and familiar constellation in the night sky. Three towers at a formidable height of 110 metres will rise above the Colombo skyline, redefining the norms for IT infrastructure in Sri Lanka.
“Our vision for Orion Towers is very future-forward,” said Chief Executive Officer Jeevan Gnanam. “We have always strived to be the preferred provider of infrastructure for commercial purposes and have met with success because we believe in pushing the boundaries to ensure that our services are the best in the industry. Orion Towers is a manifestation of that philosophy, in that it will-for the first time in Sri Lanka-offer a holistic environment for our clients to completely focus on their business needs.”
