Commenting on his desire to go on a pilgrimage, J.M. Jayaweera stated, “I’m from BandarapolainMatale and prior to our retirement, my wife and I used to travel to many different places. We really wanted to visit the sacred sites in Gaya and Varanasi but were hesitant because my wife has a problem with her knee and finds it difficult to travel now. An elder’s community that we are a part of was organizing a pilgrimage to places of religious significance in India, so we decided to join them and began the process of looking for an airline to travel on.”
J.M. Jayaweerafurther added, “We decided to fly Mihin Lanka and we were very impressed with the service provided by the ground and cabin crews. Every Mihin Lanka staff member really went the extra mile to support us throughout our journey and from the moment we arrived at the airport, my wife who was nervous due to her knee problem, was very well taken care of. She was provided with a wheelchair and we were escorted to the plane by the Mihin Lanka ground staff. I really appreciated that the airline arranged priority boarding for us and that the crew members ensured that we were comfortable on board.”
Commenting on his experience on board Mihin Lanka, he stated, “I’ve flown many international carriers and the hospitality, warmth and standards on Mihin Lanka were exceptional. There were no delays at all, from our departure time to our arrival time and we enjoyed a seamless journey. I’m very particular about safety, and I was very much at ease because the cabin crew advised us in great detailon what to do in the event of an emergency. We were served vegetarian meals on board and we really appreciated this since we were travelling for religious purposes. The crewmembers went out of their way, to make sure that our three-hour flight was as pleasant and comfortable as possible.”
He also said, “When we landed at the airport in India, my wife was once again provided with wheelchair assistance. Even throughout our journey back, the cabin crew showed us a lot of kindness and consideration, and I’m thankful that we were able to complete our pilgrimage and travel to Gaya and Varanasi in comfort with Mihin Lanka.”
